Assessment 2 involves communicating an understanding of:

  • your Team's IT Capstone Project and the progress you have achieved during Phase 1 of your Project (this semester)
  • your plans for Phase 2 of your Project (next semester)
  • convincing evidence that your plans are feasible, realistic and meaningful for you and your Team to achieve with the available time and resources.

You will communicate this understanding to your audience via a professional-quality, live, online presentation.

  • Your primary audience is the Teaching Team. Other people may see your presentation
  • Do not assume that your Tutor will be one of the audience. Prepare your Presentation to communicate effectively to any member of the Teaching Team

The primary purposes of this presentation are for the Teaching Team

  • to understand your Project
  • to understand and assess your abilities
  • to understand your goals for Phase 2
  • to understand and assess the feasibility and relevance of your goals in relation to your Project and abilities.

To do this, you and your Team must clearly communicate meaningful, relevant information about

  • your Project's definition, plans, outputs and your Team's operation.

This Assessment relates to how well you demonstrate to the Teaching Team that you can

  • Analyse the project context (ULO 1)
  • Generate well-defined requirements and deliverables (ULO 2)
  • Integrate discipline knowledge and skills through applying advanced problem solving and critical thinking (ULO 3)
  • Plan and manage a project and resources across the project lifecycle (ULO 4)
  • Apply high-performance team practices (ULO 5)
